On a windy day, successful close-up photography in the usual sense is a difficult endeavor. So I decided to work a the widest aperture in order to get relatively fast shutter speed. The result? I spent more than one hour contemplating the magic color combinations of this single Crocus bloom through the viewfinder. The smallest change in composing or focusing revealed totally different abstract pictures. This is one of my favorites as it looks to me as a rising sun behind a mountain ridge.
