SENSUOUS SNOW - L430
Michigan, USA - February 2.8/70-200 mm – ISO 200 - Digital Capture [1]
The woodlands of Michigan's Upper Peninsula were covered by a thick layer of snow, no wind was moving the air and no clouds were in the sky. The sun was already behind the horizon and the landscape was slowly getting an intense blue cast. I was trying to find a composition showing the trees and the snow, but everything I came up with was somehow distracting to the eye and not rendering the magic silence and the atmosphere of the place. As I changed my wide-angle with the telephoto zoom and began to look through the viewfinder, I discovered a new world. The small snow hills illuminated by the soft light after dusk, resembled feminine sensuous curves. A small wild animal left delicate footprints during its nocturnal journeys.
