Complementary colors - CU055
Monti della Tolfa, Lazio, Italy - March Macro 3.5/180 mm – ISO 100 Digital Capture [1]
On the RGB color wheel, consisting of additive primary (red, green and blue) and substractive primary (cyan, magenta and yellow), the colors which are opposite to each other are referred to as complementary colors.
Nature puts quite often complementary colors next to each other, like this little green grasshopper and the magenta wildflower, yielding vibrant hues which immediately please the eye.
